Privacy Policy - Minimalist TicTacToe

Effective date: August 11, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how the Minimalist TicTacToe app (hereinafter referred to as "App," "we") collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described herein.

1. Quick summary (short version)

• Currently, the App does not collect or transmit personal data to our servers or third parties.

• Data stored locally on the device: preferences (theme, language, sounds) and temporary scores (not persistent between restarts).

• The App may offer in-app purchases (In-App Purchases), processed by the Apple App Store — see the "Purchases" section.

• There is no advertising, tracking, or use of integrated analytics SDKs by default.

• If any future functionality begins to send data to third parties, this Policy will be updated.

2. Data the App collects and why

2.1 Data not collected (current)

• We do not collect name, email, contacts, precise location (GPS), photos, microphone, or camera.

• We do not create user accounts or sync data in the cloud by default.

• We do not send game data (matches) to external servers.

2.2 Data stored locally on the device

• User preferences: theme (light/dark), sound state (on/off), chosen language. Purpose: to maintain UI/UX choices between sessions.

• Temporary scores: win counters are kept only in memory during execution — as per the current version, the score is reset each time the app is launched (not persistent).

• Customization settings (if enabled): custom pieces, colors. Purpose: to personalize the experience.

2.3 Data related to purchases

• The App may offer in-app purchases (IAP). Payments are processed by Apple (Apple ID). Payment information and receipts are handled by Apple; we do not have access to payment credentials.

2.4 Logs and diagnostics

3. Data sharing with third parties

• We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

• For purchases, Apple as the payment service provider will process the necessary data; this is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

• If the App begins to integrate third-party services (e.g., analytics, cloud backups), this will be reflected and explained in this policy, and explicit authorization will be requested when required.

4. Tracking and advertising

• We do not use identifiers for advertising tracking (IDFA) and do not display ads.

• If we include tracking in the future, users will be informed, and you will be able to authorize/decline.

5. Storage and retention

• Preference data is stored locally on the device (UserDefaults / AppStorage).

• Non-persistent scores are reset upon app launch.

• If we begin to store data on servers, we will inform you of the purpose, retention period, and storage location.

6. Security

• We apply good security practices to store data locally (using iOS APIs) and minimize sensitive information kept on the device.

• Remember: no transmission over the internet is completely risk-free; never share credentials over insecure channels.
